Venue
The Albany Capital Center opened March 2017! Operated by SMG, the Albany Capital Center is a brand new beautiful glass structure that can accommodate up to 5,000 people. Housing 22,500 square feet of ballroom/exhibit space which will serve as our competition floor, meeting rooms with 9,200 square feet of space for future North East Open Growth, and 13,500 square feet of pre-function space that will be utilized for Admissions, Registration, and the Exhibitor Expo.

The Albany Capital Center has direct connections, via a climate controlled walkway, to the Empire State Plaza, The Egg, and the MVP Arena. Together, these spaces create the “Capital Complex”, the largest meeting space in Upstate New York. The climate controlled walkway will take less than 5 minutes to walk from end to end and a mere 2 minutes from the Albany Capital Center to the Empire State Plaza Convention Center.
The Albany Capital Center is taking its place along the Albany Skyline, and with it exciting new opportunities for event and meeting planners alike. Located in the heart of downtown Albany, the Albany Capital Center is within walking distance of restaurants, hotels, shops, art galleries, night clubs, museums and more!
Space Notes - This facility will meet the needs of a wide range of users; international, national, and regional. Located as it is near the Capitol with easy access to the highway system, with dedicated off-street car parking, space for tour buses & exhibitor trucks, the Albany Capital Center will provide a highly accessible, centralized urban setting, and those necessary amenities for both visitors and exhibitors as most important guests of Albany.
The Albany Capital Center is connected via an enclosed walkway to a newly renovated hotel, the Renaissance Albany. This historic property sits across the street from the New York State Capitol. The Renaissance Albany, which opened in October 2015, offers intimate meeting space for private events, a full-service restaurant, lounge, and coffee shop, and will make up 200 of the nearly 1,000 rooms in downtown Albany.

From I-87 North: Take exit 23 to I-787. Take Exit 4 towards West 20. Continue to the first light and make a left towards Broadway. Go straight at the next right onto Broadway. Turn left onto State Street and continue 0.3 miles to turn left onto Eagle Street. The Albany Capital Center will be on your left.
From I-90 East: Continue right towards I-87 South. Take exit 23 for I-787/US-9W toward Albany/Rensselaer. Keep left, follow signs for I-787 N. Take Exit 4 towards West 20. Continue to the first light and make a left towards Broadway. Go straight at the next right onto Broadway. Turn left onto State Street and continue 0.3 miles to turn left onto Eagle Street. The Albany Capital Center will be on your left.
To find the Albany Capital Center’s Parking Garage for both above, turn left onto Howard Street (before 55 Eagle Street) and take the first right onto Wendell Street. The garage entrance is on your right.
From the I-87 South: Take Exit 6-7 for NY-7 East toward Troy/Cohoes. Take the I-787 exit towards NY-787/Albany/Cohoes/New York Thruway. Keep right at the fork and follow signs for I-787 South. Take Exit 3B toward US-20 West. Continue onto Madison Ave for 0.6 miles and then turn right onto Eagle Street. The Albany Capital Center will be on your right.
From I-90 West: Take Exit 6A to merge onto I-787 South toward Albany. Take Exit 3B toward US-20 West. Continue onto Madison Ave for 0.6 miles and then turn right onto Eagle Street. The Albany Capital Center will be on your right.

MVP Arena Parking Garage, located at 100 Beaver Street, Albany, NY 12207. Self-parking is available at a minimum of $8 per car.
Renaissance Albany Parking Garage, located at 49 Howard Street. Self-parking is available at $5 for the first hour and $3 for each additional hour.
Empire State Plaza Visitor Parking Lot located at S Mall Arterial, V Lot. Self-parking available at $10.00-$5.00 per car (varies by day); connected to ACC via enclosed walkway via ESP Concourse level.
